Since its conception in Oahu in 1978, the popularity of Ironman has grown around the world, with hundreds of events now held every year in a host of locations from Australia to Sweden, Canada to Japan, and plenty more in between. The lure of Ironman, along with the 70.3 version and the kids’ addition (“Ironkids”), is proving ever more popular with vast numbers of dedicated athletes all keen to complete this amazing challenge.
Here at Pedalcover, we’ve got a wealth of knowledge and experience of exactly what this challenge entails, both within our staff and also our Pedalcover Ambassadors who include professional Triathlete, and winner of multiple Ironman events, Lucy Charles. Lucy’s achievements speak for themselves with wins in Ironman Lanzarote and South Africa, not to mention a brilliant 2nd place at the World Championships in Kona.
There’s no doubt that Lucy has a very bright future ahead of her and whilst us mere mortals can only ever really dream of such results, the good news is that we can now at least have the same Ironman travel insurance as her!
Wherever you’re heading to face the Ironman challenge, it makes sense to have a travel insurance policy to match. With so much, training and preparation involved it’s important to know that, in the event of something going wrong, you’re covered. This peace of mind means you can concentrate on what really matters – fulfilling your potential out there on the course.
