At the beginning of the year, we took to Facebook and Twitter to ask some of our followers what races they are planning for in 2016.
We’ve compiled a list of their responses with some information on the races and what they can expect.
Long Course Weekend
From Friday 8th July to Sunday 10th July, Pembrokeshire will play host to one of the most difficult, annual triathlons in Wales – the Long Course Weekend.
The event lasts three days and features some of the world’s best triathlon talent, many of whom use the course as preparation for the IRONMAN Wales event in September.
The course is a 2.4 mile swim, followed by a 112 mile bike ride, finishing with a 26.2 mile run.
Since the first race in 2010, over 7000 competitors have faced the long course. Last year, only around half of the 200 entrants managed to cross the finish line, proving just how much of a challenge this is.
Be sure to look out for us at the event as we’ll be there to support all of the brave competitors.

Outlaw Triathlon
On the 24th July, 1450 entrants will take to Nottingham National Watersports Centre for the seventh annual Outlaw Triathlon.
Those who choose to enter must complete a 2.4m swim, 112m bike and 26.2m run within 17 hours in order to gain the outlaw title.
The swim takes place in the Nottingham regatta lake. The bike course is fast, but not totally flat. The run takes place around the lake and onto the River Trent path, passing the Trent Bridge, City Ground, Wilford Suspension Bridge and the Victoria Embankment.
General entries are now sold out but if you’d like more information for next year, or would like to go along and support the outlaws, you can find more information here.
