PedalCover, the UK’s first home insurance policy dedicated to cyclists and triathletes, has launched its own triathlon team to support emerging British talent.
Headed up by current European triathlon champion India Lee, Team PedalCover also includes current British Champions Sophie Coldwell and Morgan Davies who together won silver at the U23 European championships in the mixed relay team.
Over the course of the season, the team will compete for Team PedalCover across the world.
As part of Team PedalCover , triathletes will get kit, clothing and branded merchandise, in addition to insurance cover.
This is the latest move by the award-winning insurance brand to support its sport having sponsored GB triathletes Vicky Holland and Tom Bishop, partnered with Welsh Triathlon and launched an affiliate scheme to donate money to grassroots development.
Pedalcover’s founder Darren Thomas, commented: “As a former semi-professional cyclist and Ironman I know how hard it is at the start of your career. Through PedalCover , I wanted to be in a position to support the next generation of GB triathletes.

Launched in August 2014 PedalCover is the first home insurance solution dedicated to the UK’s growing cycling and triathlon market. In under two years, the business has amassed thousands of clients due to its bespoke policy which covers all bikes, equipment and kit at home and abroad, in addition to crash damage and cover when competing (including transition).
The business has been recognised for its innovation in creating a new product specifically designed to meet the needs of cyclists and triathletes by the insurance industry having been shortlisted for the British Insurance Awards and UK Broker Awards.
